>I am sticking with Java and C++. I don't believe .NET has a future. We gave it a cursory look and decided that there would be no advantage is keeping our data local (IRS security reqs) and our apps on an APP server connected via the web. If web access goes down we would be stopped in our tracks. Besides, since we code all of our apps inhouse, why shipped them out to reside on servers not under our control?
The more I program in C # the more I enjoy it (very close to Java). I was thinking more about windows forms rather than web forms and APP servers. I really like the idea of using code written in other languages that use the same runtime. I think .NET is going to make it. But how sweet it would be if Linux was the OS of choice when using C# and the .NET framework. Bill would just die if not only did C# hurt SUN but it hurt M$ even more.
