>>On my computer I have MSCOMM32.OCX versions dated 8/21/96, 1/16/97 and 7/19/97. The first is from VFP5.0, and I'm not sure WHERE the others came from, although I expect that one came form the SP2 update and possibly the other from PC-Anywhere.
>>
>>The problem is that VFP 5.0a (SP2 update) ONLY works if the 8/21/96 version is registered. This caused a major problem the other day when I made a minor code change and recompiled the form with the OCX - none of the properties worked correctly, although the 8/21/96 version was correctly installed on my client's computers.
>>
>>Does anyone have any information about the different versions? The 1997 versions have properties not found in the earlier one, and these properties show in VFP with OLE error codes.
>>
>>In testing, I registered each OCX in turn, added it to VFP and placed it on a new form.

Peter,

The progress control is part of COMCTL32.OCX that got changed once with VFP5, once with SP2 and then with IE4. You might want to check my Website, go to the download page and find a file called activex.ZIP. It contains a fully functionable VFP projects and some notes.

Barbara, if you read this, in the same file I left my detailed experience with Sheridan Calendar controls. (You should have their demo installed in order to have the examples work). It's still a litlle rough and I plan to improve it.
