not sure if this is the most appropriate category, but ...

previously, i've written (in VFP) an RPC server and called it from
VFP over a dial up connection. it's better than sliced bread.
i love it.

now, i want to write another VFP RPC server and call it from Oracle.

can anyone give me a clue or a reference about how to start ?
(i've done some Oracle development, but not this).

my alternative, is to create an ODBC source based on my VFP tables,
and access VFP tables from Oracle, but my VFP tables are
free tables (they are not in a DBC). is it possible to create an
ODBC with free tables ?

is there a different (better) approach altogether ?

thanks,
patrick
