The problem was not mine, so I do nto know really how it was resolved (and if it was resolved at all). Just read it again - lock up of the database is caused by some command that change database content. There was also a bug in VFP 7 related to views - when view is opened, something is changed in the database. Try to search here more for this problem or contact the originator of this thread (Terry Miller).
