I cannot speak for others but I discovered this and much more by using the product and teaching other programmers I worked with. First you have a problem and then you solve it. It is amazing how much you will learn when "the end of the world is upon you", and you have to resolve issues when no solution seems to exist. :) When all else fails come to the UT!
