Anyone have an idea why, when I've installed InstallShield from the MSDN DVD disk 1219, via the disk's VFPSTART.HTA, that executing installshield just doesn't do anything? And of course looking at the properties sheet doesn't help since the default install folder is about 8 billion characters and you can't see the entire target.

Uninstalled disk 1219 install. Tried the Oct. 2001 install after rebooting. This time the InstallShield splash screen displays for about 3 seconds then disappears - as does the program itself (Task manager doesn't show it running either.)

AND...
The log file contains:

D:\BldRoot\source\src\iside\iside.cpp 579: Method '~' of object '~' failed
> ISApp.CApp.IApp_Start

My Win 2000 folder is E:\WINNT and I'm installing it to e:\program files.
