The only real thing besides creating and testing the Remote Views (what you already did) ist to turn the Switch !
You really just have to open the preferences form and UnCheck the "Use Local Data" Checkbox. Behind the scenes the System Setting "Data Settings" is changed. Thats it.

We leave them on the local machine. But really only the few tables
just used by mm. We upsized users.... tables. But this really depends
on your project.
