I suscribe to Woody's Windows XP
The following is an excert from the 2.19 issue. If you've already heard about it then ignore it, otherwise you may want to take other security measures.

"Nobody ever said it was perfect.
Late last week I ran a special edition of Woody's Office Watch on Microsoft's "critical update" for Internet Explorer 5.01, 5.5, and 6. Aside from the fact that I flipped a couple of digits in the reporting - I referred to Microsoft Security Bulletin M02-32 when I should've said M02-23 - there are some new developments you should be aware of.
I've heard from several readers who can't install the patch. Apparently they're running Internet Explorer 5.5 Service Pack 2. Since you were smart enough to install Windows XP on all your PCs, you're using Internet Explorer 6 exclusively, right? Er, right?
Those of you who took my advice and installed Microsoft's "critical update" might think you're safe, but noooooo. Ends up that Microsoft's update left at least 12 well-known security holes unplugged. Thor Larholm - a programmer at Danish firm Jubii A/S - has posted all 12 of them on his site, "to put pressure on Microsoft, in the hope that they may patch the listed security hole." Go get 'em, Thor...
It also looks like one of the holes that was supposed to be plugged wasn't plugged at all. GreyMagic Software has come up with a trivial way to bypass the "critical update" Microsoft released that was supposed to protect the files on your computer from prying eyes. This particular vulnerability is starting to look like a re-enactment of The Keystone Cops, with patches needed to run in and shore up the patches that already exist. I think it's also the source of the weird behavior in Outlook 2000 and 2002 that I described in Woody's Office Watch last week, but I'll hold off on those details until the next issue of WOW, in a couple of days.
Expect another Internet Explorer "critical update" security patch soon. That'll be the fifth one so far this year - but who's counting, eh?"
