Kudos to the government for looking into Linux!

I came across something I thought was interesting. In looking for some Linux info, I clicked on a link before I realized where the link was taking me ... and I ended up on the NSA's site. Apparently they are developing some enhancements for the Kernal. As I understand it, it is not specific to any particular distro, merely something that can be compiled into whatever kernal you're using. Does anyone have any experience with the enhanced kernal?
