>His has been bashing VFP
Commenting on the state of affairs that is backed up by lots of objective evidence does not amount to bashing. I always sing VFP praises, but temper optimsim with reality..
<<
and crying about its demise for a solid two years now
<<
Again not so... I have commented in response to those who would advocate not looking at other tools to augment one's toolbox..
<<
and the only thing I have seen in the last two years is a better VFP, seemingly more MS committment and resourses for VFP and the the best VFP book selection we have ever had.
<<
Seemingly does not translate into reality...
<<
Will VFP be discontinued? Who knows -- could happen tomorrow.
<<
I don't think VFP will ever be "discontinued" for quite some time. And fwiw, I am not calling for that. That is not the issue. Being able to find work in a job market with a continually descreasing amount of Fox work *is* the point.
<
But if it does we have to say that Gartner is a better prognosticator than JVP -- they have predicting VFP demise since 1994 or so.
>
That's a good feat since VFP was not released until January of 1995..< bg >..
And FWIW, up until 2 years ago, I was banging the drum loudly to increase the marketing effort for VFP. I was on that effort for 3 years.
