I've got a little bit strange solution, but it may help.
Make invisible object ListBox on Form.
Set Yourcolour to Form.ListBox.SelectedItemBackColor.
[a condition is a default .SelectedItemBackColor :-)]
This is a foxway, how to get a system selection color.
