Tom,

All kidding aside I kind of agree with you. I know my 'button' is when I perceive folks making uneducated assertions about some spititual issues and I know that at times I'm a REAL pest and have probably really aggravated some folks off and most likely this is the reason I'm no longer a MVP. No excuses but that's just the choice I made and I'm quite content to live with the results. <s> I do think that at times I've been deliberately provoked as well. <g> I really do try and keep those remarks in the Chatter section so as to at least keep the higher non-technical bandwidth to a minimum in the 'regular' sections.

My advice would be to send messages into the Chatter section as soon as they enter a certain point where the technical merit is more outweighed by the non-technical merit. Where this is is IMO really up to Michel and/or those he's asked to be responsible for making those kinds of decisions. Candidly I think they do an ABSOLUTELY SUPERB job of it and I extend my heartfelt thanks.

IMO everyone has, at some point in time, an issue or subject that they are particularly attuned to. Agani, candidly, this is one of the reasons I've never backed away from engaging people in these kinds of discussions. I want to find out what others are passionate about. JVP is a royal pain in the pah-too-tee <g> at times but he often brings a lot more to the table than what he takes. The same with Steve Black. But you can't put those two guys in the same (virtual) room for more than a couple minutes before they're at it. <g> Still, as long as the remarks are technically geared I cannot imagine a better learning experience.

>>>Since others have and do take up bandwidth I would like to express my feelings towards apparent “ego trips”.
>>>
>>>What is aggravating is that the individuals who engage in these “ego trips” are knowledgeable and have helped the development community in many ways. They give much of themselves but seem to have a “button” which when pressed renders them incomprehensible to others. That “button” is anything a specific person says. Fault must be found and judgement rendered. This is not adult behavior nor do I observe children behaving in this manner. Does the development community have to have labels for these individuals? Do we have to keep amusing ourselves with the line, “boys will be boys”?

>>>A bit of maturity on the part of some UT members would be appreciated. Acting in a civil manner would too! If you cannot do this could you at least consider not talking to each other?

>>>If you wish I would gladly be willing to act as a peace maker.
