Hi, Carol. I am also using the mail-merge method with VFP5.0a and Word Basic. Works great. I create a .dbf that contains the values I want to be available to the Word merge document. Create the document as a mail-merge document and set the data source for the document to the .dbf so Word uses ODBC to connect to the .dbf. Then after instantiating Word, I use 'owd.mailmergetodoc' where 'owd' is the Word object to do the merge from VFP.
