Hey Chuck:
I was reading this thread and noticed your comment about using ODBC if your app is going to VFP tables OR SQL Server (or something like it). That is the case with a new app I'm developing. It will be my first adventure in client/server. I noticed you authored a book Called Visual Foxpro for Client/Server Development. One of my major concerns are performance issues with either SQL Server or VFP tables in a remote view scenario. I've done some basic testing and I find VFP tables quite slow. Does your book address not only the "how-to" issues but also performance issues. Is it one of those books I should read front-to-back before developing the app? Is it written for someone new to client/server? DOes the book deal with SQL Server 7.0 and/or SQL Server 2000?
Thanks,
Bill
Also, where should I buy the book?
