Your comments are at least not professional. Your obsession for VB 6 in the past and your new toy .NET do not prove that you really understand one thing about application development. I doubt if your capable of building anything usefull.
>

I agree that just because one adopts a set of tools, it does not necessarily follow that one understands anything about application development. As for what I am capable of building useful, your claim here is simply pure nonsense and nothing more than a straw man/ad hominum argument.

>Lets look at history:
>
>1. In a discussion about two years ago, you denied that the deleted() tag could be a waste of resources. I proved you wrong (with scientific examples). I'm still waiting for you to admit you were wrong. In stead you acused me that I did not know who I was talking to, and did not know much of VFP application development.
>

Considering I have not used Fox data in over 3 years, I guess my first response is who cares. IAC, as a practice, I always used a deleted tag and in SQL Server, I always build a CLustered Index - none of which were to my detriment. Again, you are talking about DBF's; an obselete and antiquated technology IMO. How those items can be optimized or improved is irrelevant to me..

>
2. You've tried to talk people into VB6 because VFP would die soon. Fact: VB 6 is dead and VFP could not be more alive than today. I've never saw you admitting you were wrong those days.
>

No.. I encouraged VFP developers to learn VB as a way of augmenting their toolset. I guess you are going to say that automation is a waste of time. That requires VB. Most MS samples were written in VB; yet another reason why learning VB is/was important. Those that took the time to learn VB have been rewarded.

>3. I another thread we talked about a VFP 7 wishlist item of having the OnMouseEnter and OnMouseLeave functionality. You've stated that this wishlist was useless because you could easely programmed. Not only you were wrong, the wishlist items made it straight into VFP 7.
>

Within the last two years, I did a search the relevant phrases and did not find a message with my name on it. That is not to say I did not say it was a waste of time. You need to supply some specific msg #'s for this claim.

>
I never got any admitment from you, you were wrong. I suspect you feel you can't be wrong. You've got a serious problem with ethics my friend. You're directly harming the VFP community with your FUDS, lies and false assertments. You make the work of KenL hard, because the thing he builds up, you're trying to break down.
>

What??? You don't think I talk with Ken???? On average, I speak with him once a week. And I converse with him on email. If I were doing some unethical or I was doing something to harm the VFP community or if I were making his job harder, I think he would tell me... FWIW, posts like this are not that productive because it is really about personal attacks as opposed to substantive content. Still, I thought it was important to respond to set the record straight.

>
Your definition of 'proof' is something undefinable like "proof is that what I think it is". I've never seen you provide any proof on these issues. All you do is some guesswork. In the past I was one of your very few opponents. Nowerdays you grow more by the minute. Don't you ever ask why so ?? I guess you should look at yourself real good, and discover what kind of sicko you've become.
>

Actually, the people that take me on in the fashion you do is roughly the same it was two years ago. As for proof, is that just like you saying that I am not capable of anything usful because you say it is so? As for whether I am guessing, I don't think I would characterize it as that. Rather, I am offering my opinion; and informed one at that.

>I'd say, My friend, you don't have the quality to make it as a GURU. You don't have the knowledge, ethics and respect. You're not able to construct anything usefull. You've failed to become a succesfull and respected developer. Ah, you're writing articles right ?? Yeah, that's because that is where all failed developers end. Remember that a lot of the teachers failed in practice. Your reason to act the way you do is that you're really crying for attention. If you can't get positive attention, then negative is next best. This would also explain why you can't keep your promises to leave the forum.
>

If you think I am craving attention; which I am not, then simply ignore me and don't respond... As for the rest of the charges you lob in this paragraph, it is nothing more than the ramblings of an angry person against opinions he does not agree with...

>
I feel really sorry for you. Maybe we should start a funding here on the UT, to get you a psychiatrist.
>

Well if it is that same funding effort that was to be directed at a VFP marketing effort, I would definitely have to dip into my own pocket..< bg >..
