Evan

He was a smart fellow but he really got a bee in his bonnet about VFP. We were doomed, MS was going to wind it down and drop VFP. He ended up calling Microsoft liars in the media in 1995!

I think he actually did us a lot of good. MS had to put a few ads in non-VFP rags etc to "disprove" JW's assertions that MS was deceiving us.

He went astray (just like the current fellow) because he always knocked and criticised, never acknowledged benefit.

After he gave up on VFP in disgust, he moved to something called Sapphire at about the time I moved to Java. We kept in touch for a while, he pointed me to two very good products called Supercede and Vibe (both Java).

I used to be able to check what he was doing because bizarrely his resume came up number 2 for a long time at Yahoo if you looked up "xcase" but that's not true anymore.

Regards

"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
