Maybe the exact time and place where you instantiate the Session class may make a difference. I use one instantiated from a Global object that is created at startup. This Session is always available regardless of where I am in the system and what other DEs are open.

Do you attach your Session to a container (like a Form) or just purely in code? Maybe its usage and scope would differ in this case...
