>Unless of course we broke his rules, like eating meat on a Friday. Naturally for that your soul doesn't go to Heaven, it goes to hell, where you're going to be spanked by a deamon for all eternity.

Mike;

Not eating meat on Friday was a Roman Catholic thingy. Protestants get to do everything! Now we Catholics are attempting to emulate the Protestants and can once again eat meat on Friday. Boy is that progress!

By the way the story goes that the “fish mongers” of Italy went to the Pope because they could not sell enough fish and had the Pope declare Friday was fish day. I like fish anyway! I guess sales of fish are up so it doesn’t matter anymore.

When I was in Air Force Basic Training, they pulled aside all the Roman Catholic and Jewish guys and told us we had “abstinence” from religious restrictions upon our diets. We were allowed to eat whatever the Air Force fed us. Jews could eat pork and Catholics could eat meat on Friday. That is fine except what the Air Force called food is something I will not attempt to describe! :)
