I am using Pegasus TwainPro ActiveX control to scan images. I found that the Kodak Scan (the one that comes with Windows) control works nearly the same as the Pegasus control but because of the lack of documentation, I didn't know how to use it until first learning how to use TwainPro. Now that I know how to use both Pegasus TwainPro and Kodak's control, I feel I could have saved the money spent to Pegasus.
Anyway, some of the scanned images are multiple pages - so I'm saving them as TIF files. The problem is, the VFP Image control doesn't support TIFs. I'd like to have a control that I can drop on a form to view these multi-page scan images. Although I could just use the ShellExecute to fire up whatever software is registered to handle .TIF, its not as slick as viewing the control within my VFP app AND it gives the users an opportunity to *do things* to the TIF file (ie. overlay text, save to another file name, etc) which I want to prevent.
Can anyone recommend a TIF viewer ActiveX control? The Kodak Image Previewer which comes with windows doesn't *appear* to have an ActiveX control - is this correct?
Thanks,
Alan
