Okay, my mistake must have been in the form(possibly naming) cause I got frustrated and deleted the form, recreated and it worked as per all previosu examples given to me.

The reason I was scratching my head was because I once supported an app that once we updated a users machine to a higher pentium the pc just flashed the app and closed it. We found a white paper that showed us how to create a time out so the form would hold long enough for the user to click on it
