You should be careful of using a combobox for things like customers or clients. Its entirely possible you will have a large number of record in the customers table and that will be a big problem for performance.

But what I want to do in my combobox is to match the succeeding key pressed with the series of characters in the record and not always treat every key pressed as the first letter of the record.
