Craig;

In college we studied religions and Christianity was one of them. A basic concept of the Roman Catholic Church is that we celebrate the Last Supper of Jesus during Mass at Communion. This is called “The Secondary of the Mass – or “The Mass of the Faithful”. Protestants have the ability to “interpret the word of the Bible”. That is God has given each Protestant the ability to interpret His word from the Bible. I asked a Southern Protestant, “If God gave you the ability to interpret His word, why do you go to a Church and allow a Minister to interpret for you”? Now that could have started a major war!

A nice feature about the Protestant Church (there are over 200 different ones at last count) is that if you disagree with your minister or church you simply start your own church. I personally know of one person who did this, and have knowledge of many more.

Store Front Churches (rent a small store and make it into a church meeting place) are very popular in San Francisco. Driving down the street one day I stopped near the Cow Palace and observed the following sign over a store front, “First American Indian Baptist Church”. Perhaps the Protestant Church count is now 201. :)
