I know there have been many threads reminiscing about working with computers, but I couldn’t resist. My son is graduating high school Saturday and I started looking back over my life. So here are a few of the computer related things that stand out when I was young and knew everything.

Who needs this genscrn, or whatever it’s called, stuff. I can do all that in code. Who does this new kid Levy think he is anyway?

Microsoft will never buy Fox!

Microsoft is killing Fox now that they have it. :)

Bill said that all you need is 640 k, so that’s all I’m buying.

Windows is just a glorified menu driver. I like my batch file menu better.

I can’t wait to get my hands on that new 386 that just came in. It’s got 16 megs of RAM and a CGA monitor!

DOS was not designed to be networked. No small business needs a network anyway when they can just copy the files to a floppy and walk them down the hall.

Fox is dead. :)

That new language Visual Basic 1.0 looks pretty cool.

OS2 is going to leave Microsoft out in the cold.

Man I knew it all back then. So if you hear me saying things like, ".Net will never catch on". Beware!
