Hi one and all

I am looking at the issue of collision detection and how to determine whether a record has changed or not.

I figure I can use CURVAL(fieldname, view) to determine whether my data has changed underneath me.

What I would like to know is for a view/table with table buffering set, can I set a filter contain only records I have modified/added without havingan extra field (dirty flag)???

Also, is collision detection inherent in SQL server????

Thanks
Geoff Scott
