After spending a very frustrating time trying to get a combobox to work in a grid.
(I have done this successfully before) I decided to go back to basics
and use the example in the knowledge base.

This simple example only took a couple of minutes to follow and type in, but after doing it I discovered that it was not updating the underlying friends table with the name of the state as the knowledge base article promises.

A simple replace in the valid condition of the combo fixes the problem but I doubt this would have been missed from the example.

Can some one else please try this and see if it is just me being stupid. It is a very short example.

Also is there a way of telling the combo not to select on entry. I have tried setting the 'select on entry' property of the combo box and on the column to false but it makes no difference
