My wife (and partly me :) was a consultant on the new "K-19 The Widowmaker" movie with Garrison Ford, which should be released this July. Once they came all excited and asked what we think about the idea to take the image of Order of the Great Patriotic War, cut some parts, replace the words on it and place on a big slogan in the movie set. They thought it was cool. We told them that it would be historically incorrect, as this order is a very recognizable image in Russia, and it could never be used this way in reality (especially considering the ideological pressure in Soviet times). We suggested them historically correct version of what they wanted to achieve.
Guess which version got into the movie... :)
