I think the best thing you can do is to read "The Ultimate Power & Speed of VFP" by Val Matison in FoxPro Advisor, March, 1997. He talks about his experience with the application he wrote for the Euro Tunnel. About 128GB of data!

I hope you are aware of the limitation of 2GB per table in VFP... :)
