>I was at the recent SQL Connections conference a few weeks ago, and a speaker by the name of Bill Vaughn (he used to work at MS on the VB team) asked the attendees what development tools they used. He mentioned VFP - there were a handful of us - to my surprise (since there was strictly a SQL Conference) - who raised our hands.

>Curious, since you mentioned it - what is different with Germany as opposed to the rest of Europe with regards to VFP?
Purely speculation, but I guess economics. Since VFP comes with its own robust database, the overall costs are much lower than what you would have with other development tools.
