Upsizing the Application Registry to Remote Server
I am testing a form with SQL 2000. I have created with CodeMine 7 a simple form using a Remote View. When setting up the Remote View, I was able to select the SQL database from my other computer, then place some fields on the form, and I am able to navigate between records with no problems.
The problem is trying to Upsize the Application Registry. After I press Next on Step 1 - Select a Database (APPDATA is default one which is correct), I get the message "The Database does not contain any remote connections." with an OK button, which then requires you to bail out of that Wizard.
Any suggestions on what I am missing on this one? The 6.1 docs pretty much say nothing about any of this (at least I couldn't find anything), and the CodeMine 7 has info on the cmConnectionManager but I could see nothing there either.
Also, I assume with CodeMine to access SQL you would always use Remote Views?
None of this is a big issue for me today, but I am wondering what I should watch out for today in an application I am writing - in case I need to scale it to SQL a year down the road?
Any thoughts are appreciated.
