I have copied a file (like temp.txt or word.doc or spreadsheet.xls) to a sql*server image field. To get it back out, I have used remote views with the corresponding field in vfp set to memo (binary). This seems to work just fine.

However, when I use sql pass-thru, it seems that the VFP cursor field type defaults to General. Is there anyway to force the field to a binary memo field in VFP? If I can't, what is the easiest way to get the file info out of the general field (I haven't really worked that much with general fields).
