Venus and Jupiter are approaching each other fast, and it is interesting to watch them, night by night, getting closer and closer. They are the two brightest "stars" in the west, after sunset. Venus is the brighter one - currently, further down.
According to
Das Himmelsjahr, they will pass each other on June the 3rd., at a distance of 1.7 degrees. As a comparison, the sun and moon both have an apparent diameter of ca. one-half degree. IOW, Venus will pass Jupiter at a distance of ca. 3 full moons.
