I wonder.. is that vfp-code called during the install by Wise? Or is it called during startup of the application?

Neither one. For this I do have a menupoint in my application in the "help" and "about"-part of the menu
saying "Create shortcut on Desktop". But it can be done anytime maybe on an initial start when You check
for DB-integrities and if all fields are there or need to be updated.
