First, you do not say what version of SDT you are using. Second, I would e-mail Doug Hennig and provide him the particulars of you, your company and the departed developer to find out who the registered licensee of SDT is. If it your company, then you are still the licensee. If it was the departed developer, you are probably no longer legally licensed to use the software.
