I am using the common controls class (available in the downloads section) and trying to take advantage of the datetimepickercontrol.

When I place the control on a form the form takes over a minute to load and in the process scrolls the "talk" to the screen.

However, if i have "Set STATUS BAR" to "ON" the problem doesn't happen. Any idea on what implication the "STATUS BAR " setting has on the control and how to overcome it? I would rather not have the status bar on because I don't need it.

Any ideas?
