That question won't really get answered till you tried .... I installed the .NET stuff on my notebook with all VFP versions on and didn't have any problems.

I would highly recommend to install both languages if possible! The reason is that you get code from both languages all the time and in my opinion it is really worth to get a bit in both ones, even when you then decide to prefer the one or other.
