So far, it's been pretty understandable. I haven't gotten into the heavier parts of it, but he says right in the beginning that he was writing it in a style that should hopefully be more understandable to "normal" people, as opposed to normally incomprehensible writing style of most academic papers (my wording, not his - though, that was the general gist of what was said).
