>This is the exact same reason I switched to Crystal in my one application. There was no way to do the required report in the native VFP report writer.
Yes:
- 10 .FRX files + 10 REPORT FORM TO PRINTER
- A system to control pages than sometimes don´t work well
- Hours and hours hard working
... all for worst results... but result at last.
> Since then, I did figure out a way that it could be done in pure VFP, but the complexity of the solution still makes Crystal the better choice. I could generate each section of my report seperately and combine it into a text file and then print out only the final result. Way too complicated, if you ask me.
> My latest app is using SQL Server for the data store (the other one was native VFP tables), and again I am using Crystal with great success. This time I am repalcing a proprietary labelling software package with simple Crystal reports.
All working with VFP? Foxpro 2.6 tables or ODBC+SQL Server, of course.
You can do preview any page, go to any page and show number page in "n of n-total" format?
