I posted changes to my sample code in message 662212 based on feedback from others. I wasn't sure about it but it seems to work and I will continue to test the logic. Basically, I set the connection for manual transactions instead of automatic and use sqlcommit() and sqlrollback() as well as begin and end transaction. If you look at my code and see any glaring errors or can suggest improvements, I would appreciate the input.
