Thank for your advise. So, is there any special thing to take note
of when using CR or anything to note when creating this report manager ?
in order to cut down the time spend on it.

>If you mean that you want to add additional reports to your application by sending the client an updated application executable plus the new rpt files, yes, you can do that. After the initial install of the required Crystal Reports runtime files on the client's system, to add new reports or modify old ones you just have to copy the .rpt file.
> To make it more dynamic you could have the application scan the directory of .rpt files and build alist for the user to pick from, but you will be limited by the file name which might not be too user-fiendly. Or you could create a table with the .rpt file name, a user-friendly name, and any other parameters you might need to pass to the report, and distribute the updated version of this table along with the .rpt file.
> Allowing users to change the reports requires additional licensing. If the users just execute reports and don't modify them via the RDC, you can distribute the required files free. Crystal is fairly easy to use, but I don't know about allowing end users direct access to modify reports. It depends on the customer. I have people who barely know how to turn on their computer, they wouldn't be able to do it, and then I have people who could have written the entire app themselves except for other commitments, they could easily create and edit reports on their own. Stock reports that are called from menu choices in my applications I limit to whatever can be done by passing parameters, I do not allow the end user to directly manipulate the .rpt files. If they want to use Crystal to create custom reports outside of my application, that's fine with me.
