Bet your warmer than down here... anyway, the problem is not when the combo is dropped, it is when it is collapsed. I have a two digit number to show, but I don't want to have a width of 45+ for the control. In order to display:

in the collapsed box, I am having to have a width of 45+, with most of that 'blank' space on the left side of the control. That is the space I want to clear out.
