>>>Do you know any Delphi developers? Do you know of anything the could read that would cause them to drop Delphi and move to Visual FoxPro 7.0? I think most Delphi developers use it because it is what they know and if they did move, VFP might not be their first pick, but in any case, it is likely not easy to move Delphi developers to VFP.

>I've been using Fox since the early 80s and use it more than any other development tool both personally and in my employment. It is generally my tool of choice. However, I also use Delphi 6. We use both products for different reasons. VFP is used generally for local tables and our Delphi development is done when developing client-server apps using other data sources such as when using advantage databases or SQL-changing the backend in Delphi is simpler than in VFP. Also our web development is done using Delphi-Delphi has all 'drag and drop' controls for web development that I have yet to see made any simpler or cleaner in any other language. I'm afraid you won't get many (if any) developers switching from Delphi to VFP unless VFP8 adds the same drag and drop web development controls that Delphi 6 has (now if VFP8 did that, THAT would be the ideal development tool!).

I understand you completely but there must be some places where VFP would shine against Delphi. I'm just proposing something here.
