Rugby is popular only at the junior varsity and club level. I've known people over the years that play rugby, but I've never seen it played on a local field.

Now rugby is definately played here. My son's high school has a world class rugby team. (He does not play). This team just won the national championship for the 14th time in the past 16 years. A couple of years ago, they took third in the world. There are kids from all over the world that come here to high school just to play on the rugby team.
