Hi All

We have 3 full text catalogs set up on a live database. Last week, the
stored procedure that uses one of those catalogs started to return little
or no results. I had a look at the catalog and the stats showed that the
Item Count was 0 and the Unique Word Count was 1. The test server which
has almost identical data has counts of around 23,000 and 30,000
respectively.

I tried to do a Full Population of the catalog but it fails to populate.
The Event Log shows the following errors (all for Microsoft Search):-

-Unable to access crawl seed (error 8004e09). Error loading string
resource.

-Unable to start crawl seed for project 'SQLetc'. No crawl seeds
could be accessed.

-Detected end of crawl seed for project 'SQLetc'

-No new files were detected for project 'SQLetc'. The catalog has not been
propogated.

I have deleted the catalog (using sprocs so that all the files are deleted too) and re-created it but it will not populate. I have also tried to create a completely new catalog on another table and that also fails to populate.

I've stopped and started MS Search service and tried to repopulate
but the counts still stay at 0 and 1

Can anyone shed any light on this?

Cheers
Paul
