Thanks Caroline. I don't remember trying this exact technique so I'll check it out. I more or less gave up on the problem a couple of weeks ago. It stands to reason that any successful technique will have to use a dynamic property. It appears that the grid refresh is changing all rows to the value of the most recently edited record otherwise. That's definitely not what I'm looking for.
