I have the view tied to the rowsource. The controlsource is tied to the foreign key.

A combo is well suited for this sort of things since the number of options are rather limited. You can even make it able to do an incremental seek for speed purposes. If your customer wants a pick list, then have a command button call a separate form that would display the payment options on one grid and have the form return the foreign key value.
