May be - if it is possible - Siemens could offer some kind C++ COM/DLL

You will strike the same problem. That was the reason to hire Plamen. If some ActiveX does not like to work with VFP, he make wrappers and solve problem

May be this will be the solution, if you do not work with databases. If your application will use databases, better solution is to stay on VFP
