Hi,

I have a access table and vfp table and I want
to compare the values between each to determine
where to update a record.

For example

The access table has a field

mystring Text 50
mynumber Long Integer

And the vfp table has

mynum Char 50
mynumber Int 4

Yet when it compares the two fields it returns .F.

Surely char and text are the same thing.

Anyone any ideas?
