Doug;

Very interesting! I have a condensed version of the Bible. It is called Faith! :)

No printing required. No one interprets for me. It is entirely my own.

There are so many more copies of extant documents (something like 40-50,000) of various passages of the Bible vs the next best runner-up (The Illiad by Homer with ~950 etant documents) that it's not even close. We can construct something like 98.5% of the entire New Testament without even looking at copies of it - from the various personal letters between people who quoted passages and so forth.

These were shows looking for things like the Garden of Eden, Noah's Ark, and some geographic locations 'named' in ancient Greek literature.

>>>I think that this is more of a case of them being comfortable in an organizational sense as to what version is the most generally suitable. You may have noticed that they print their own books or at least add many study & quick reference aids. My -guess- is that this has precluded them from more than one version. Keeps down the costs I suppose...

>>Thank God Readers Digest has not published their version of the Bible. The only advantage of Readers Digest publishing a Bible would be it's number of pages would be limited to less than 20. :)
