I have never used the caption on check boxes in a grid so I am only guessing but have you tried setting sparse off/on to see if it makes any difference? If you don't have any luck you can cheat by adding a new column next to the check box and changing it's value in the valid of the check box. Put the new text column as close as you can to the check box by making the check box column as narrow as possible and set the alignment of the new column to right or left depending on which side you're on.

>The data is a remote view based upon fields from 2 SQL tables. I want the checkbox caption to change when the data in the field changes -- but ONLY for the current row. For some reason, any change to a caption propagates to ALL rows in the grid, even though the data is unchanged. It's a display issue only but still rather ugly.
