Good day Jim,
>A comprehensive manual is mandatory if you are going to work with a modem at this level. Try a search like
this and pick your poison.
I was able to print out documentation for a certain Zoltrix AT Command Manual for Voice commands. Thanks for the web lead.
>The best indicator of your modem capabilites is probably the response to "ATI7" command. If this errors, you definitely have the wrong modem :>)
I got an "OK" response from the "ATI7" command, so I am still in luck. =)
>Note that most of those commands I showed you are dependant upon the modem being in "Voice" mode, IOW following the "AT#CLS=8" command. Try these command sequences in a terminal emulator of your choice (Hyperterminal, Procomm, etc.) so you are sure of the complete modem response.
So executing the "AT#VLS", "AT#VBT" et al commands must depend on having the "AT#CLS=8" command return "OK" or else issuing them would be useless?
Thanks once again,
Dennis
PS I believe I am 12 hours ahead of you right?
